Street Photography
I practice street photography exclusively in black and white and with analog cameras. For me, it is about reducing the world to light, shadows, and human expressions, removing the distraction of color and instead focusing on form, presence, and rhythm.
The analog process enforces a certain slowness and conscious way of seeing; each exposure is a decision rather than a series of attempts. The limitation is part of the philosophy. In black and white, moods and contrasts emerge more clearly, and the documentary meets the timeless. Street photography then becomes not merely a record of what happens, but an interpretation of the city’s poetry, where the everyday takes on a deeper, more existential weight.
