Silent Surfaces is a meditation on the quiet poetry of the natural world, where stones, branches, and leaves are no longer mere objects but bearers of presence. Through the lens of my self-built 4×5 large-format camera, each surface is treated like a portrait, revealing textures, shadows, and subtle gestures that often go unnoticed. The analog process slows perception, allowing time to dwell on the materiality of existence and the silent histories etched into every curve and crease. In these images, the ordinary becomes profound, and the stillness of the natural surface invites reflection on patience, impermanence, and the intimate dialogue between observer and observed.
